Title:
On the K₁-level Hecke algebra of GLₙ(ℚₚ)
Abstract:
Double-coset Hecke algebras are fundamental tools in the representation theory of p-adic groups and the theory of automorphic forms. They act on spaces of vectors fixed by compact open subgroups, providing an algebraic framework for studying representations at a prescribed level. In this talk, we consider the K₁-level Hecke algebra of GLₙ(ℚₚ), equipped with convolution, where K₁ is the first principal congruence subgroup of GLₙ(ℤₚ). The talk will be primarily expository, emphasizing basic concepts and general background rather than new results.
