Personal Profile

Born in Xining, Qinghai Province, China, on 24 May 1963. Admitted to Xi'an Jiaotong University in 1980 to study Computational Mathematics (undergraduate degree), continuing with a Master's in Computational Mathematics at the same institution in 1987. Remained at the university after graduation to undertake teaching duties.

In 1993, he took up a position as Assistant Research Fellow at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. In 1994, he proceeded to the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) to pursue a PhD in Computer Science. Following his doctoral studies, he joined several major American corporations in technical roles.

His primary focus has been within the wireless communications sector, holding positions as Senior Engineer at companies including Lucent Technologies, Alcatel-Lucent, and Nokia. He possesses 23 years of extensive knowledge and experience in wireless communications.

In 2024, he returned to China to join the Beijing International Mathematics and Systems Academy (BIMSA) at Yanqi Lake as a Research Fellow. His current research integrates neural networks, artificial intelligence, nonlinear filtering, big data, and machine learning with biomathematics.
