Biography
Yuhang Luo is an Assistant Professor at the Hetao Institute of Mathematics and Interdisciplinary Sciences (Shenzhen). He received his Ph.D. in Ecology from Peking University in 2024, and subsequently conducted postdoctoral research at the Department of Geography, Peking University. His research focuses on climate change and vegetation ecology, landscape ecology and land use, and the ecological applications of artificial intelligence. He has published multiple papers in journals including Geophysical Research Letters, Landscape and Urban Planning, and Journal of Remote Sensing. His research findings have been reported by media outlets such as Live Science and Deutsche Welle. He serves as a peer reviewer for journals including Land Use Policy, Environmental Impact Assessment Review, and Journal of Environmental Management. He is the Principal Investigator of a National Natural Science Foundation of China Young Scientists Fund project (Category C, 2027–2029).
