About the Research Institute
Hetao Institute of Mathematics and Interdisciplinary Sciences (HIMIS) is a newly established public institution in Shenzhen dedicated to advancing the integrated development of fundamental and applied disciplines. The institute focuses on interdisciplinary research areas including pure mathematics (including physics), applied mathematics (including physics), artificial intelligence, and high-performance computing. It has signed a cooperation agreement with The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen to jointly train and supervise students, postdoctoral researchers, and other young talents.
Vacancies
We are seeking high-calibre professionals in fundamental mathematics (including physics), applied mathematics (including physics), computer science (covering high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, software development and applications), and cutting-edge application domains such as quantum computing, climate modelling, geophysics, and biomaterials. Positions include teaching and research staff, technical specialists, postdoctoral researchers, and doctoral candidates to undertake research and engineering development.
- The Teaching and Research Series requires applicants to hold a doctoral degree and demonstrate outstanding academic achievements. Successful candidates will be appointed as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor, undertaking teaching responsibilities and supervising postgraduate students.
- The Professional Technical Series will be appointed to professional technical positions such as Engineer, Senior Engineer, or Principal Engineer.。
- Postdoctoral researchers and doctoral candidates are jointly trained under the auspices of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen.
